Genae Fields, ISA CAPP, is the Founder of AAE Appraisal Services and is a Certified Appraiser in both Fine Arts & Antiques, and Furnishings & Decorative Arts with 20+ years of experience. She has received the highest level of credentialing bestowed by the International Society of Appraisers. In addition to this designation, she is recognized by ISA as a Private Client Specialist. There are fewer than 30 individuals in the United States and Canada who currently hold this distinction of ISA Certification through the discipline of Fine Arts and even fewer that hold the distinction in both Fine Arts & Antiques and Furnishings & Decorative Arts.
This recognition is achieved only by undertaking a long-term, intensive course of study in appraisal principles, and passing rigorous examinations on the theory and practice of professional appraising, as well as on ethical standards of practice and legal considerations. The International Society of Appraisers is the nation's largest organization of personal property appraisers.
Genae earned her Masters Degree from University of St. Thomas, Houston, and Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Louisiana Monroe.
To enhance her formal education she has traveled throughout the United States and Europe visiting museums, galleries, and artisans, learning from renowned experts and gaining hands on experience.
In addition to appraising and consulting, Fields' specialty areas have taken her into the college classroom where she has taught courses in Art History, Textiles, and Fashion Design.
